Within the framework of its involvement in the 7th World Water Forum, Millennium Destinations is supporting this unmissable international youth event for water and sanitation that will bring together 70 participants from 55 different countries.

In the context of the 7th World Water Forum that will be held from 12 to 17 April 2015 in South Korea, the International Secretariat for Water (ISW) is organising the World Youth Parliament for Water (WYPW), an international youth event that will bring together young people from around the world. These young people have been selected during preparatory meetings organised in 2014 based on their commitment to water and sanitation.

Every three years, during the World Water Forums, the WYPW organises a General Assembly in order to identify new parliamentarians and develop an action strategy for the following three years.

By participating in the World Water Forum, the young parliamentarians (aged from 18 to 25) will have the exceptional opportunity to promote their involvement and their ideas for water and sanitation, to meet and discuss ideas with international decision-makers and different international stakeholders, and thus share their action strategies and commitments within this international event that is expected to welcome more than 35,000 people!

By organising different sessions, participating in the different Forum processes and being present at the civil society booth, the WYPW youth will prove that solutions for better access to water and sanitation and better management of water resources do exist and that young people are already taking action!
