Hosted from April 12th to 17th, 2015, in Daegu and Gyeongju, South Korea, under the theme “Water for our Future”, the 7th World Water Forum stands out for the importance given to the “implementation” of solutions, based on roadmaps, and the establishment of a new Science and Technology Process focused on innovations.

The Forum is part of a global partnership initiative focused on water-related issues, offering an international platform for debates and expert contributions to policy makers and decision-makers.

Within the framework of the Forum, French water stakeholders (ministries of Ecology, Foreign Affairs,   Agriculture, Health, Eau de Paris (Paris water agency), SIAAP, SEDIF, Coalition Eau, ACF, ESF, pS-Eau, Solidarités international, Secours Islamique France, Green Cross International, Suez environnement, Veolia, EDF, CNRS, CNES, IRSTEA, BRGM, ASTEE, AFEID, Office international de l’eau, AgroParitech…) will emphasize the collective added value of our country in the form of solutions.

 They will also participate actively to the contributions of the forum towards the adoption of two major decisions by the United Nations in 2015:

  • To have a goal especially dedicated to water as part of the sustainable development goals to be adopted by the international community in September 2015 for the next 15 years (Post-2015 Development Agenda);
  • To include water into the climate agreement to be adopted in December at Le Bourget, France, as a conclusion of the COP 21.

 The French Pavilion: a global forum for water stakeholders
The French Pavilion, coordinated by the French Water Partnership (FWP), aims to give the French water stakeholders the opportunity to conduct debates with their international partners on all water related issues: climate change; food security, sustainable cities, energy.

A variety of tools will be made available trough the French Pavilion such as the virtual library Water Expertise France (www.water-expertise-france.fr), allowing users to discover the collaborative and innovative achievements and projects of various French stakeholders, in France and abroad.  See programme here

The French Pavilion’s events and news can be followed through a TV News program made available on the French Water Partnership’s website (www.partenariat-francais-eau.fr), and its Twitter account (@PFE_FWP # WWWF7France).

The French Water Partnership (FWP) is the French platform for discussing and exchanging ideas that help to place water at the top of the global political agenda, and promoting, at global level, multi-stakeholders solutions to water related issues, through the dissemination of the collective know-how of French water players throughout the world.
